Terms of use.
The deal, in plain English.

No dense legalese wall. These are the straightforward rules for using WingPost, what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and an honest note that this is software under active development. Last updated 30 June 2026.

The terms

Read once. Keep it simple.

1. Accepting these terms

By installing or using WingPost, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. They apply to the WingPost Android app, the relay and API at api.anadevyra.com, and this website.

2. What WingPost is

WingPost is an encrypted messaging app built by AnA Devyra, an independent team in India. It is under active development and offered as early-access software. Features may be added, changed, paused, or removed as we harden it toward a wider launch.

3. Your account and your keys

Your identity is a cryptographic node ID, and the keys to your conversations live on your device, not with us. You're responsible for keeping your device, your passphrase, and any backups safe. Because there is no server-side recovery loop (that's deliberate, a recovery loop is also an attacker's way in), losing your device or credentials without a backup means losing access. We cannot reset it for you.

4. Acceptable use

We can't read your messages, but these rules still apply, and we'll act on the parts we can see (like abuse of the service itself). Don't use WingPost to:

  • break the law, or harm, harass, threaten, or exploit anyone;
  • share content that sexually exploits or endangers children;
  • distribute malware, run spam, or impersonate others to deceive;
  • attack, overload, or attempt to break the service or other users' accounts.

Good-faith security research is welcome and explicitly carved out, see our responsible-disclosure policy.

5. No warranty

WingPost is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We work hard on security, but no software is unbreakable and we won't pretend otherwise. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific high-stakes purpose. Use your own judgement for life-or-death situations.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AnA Devyra is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data. Since we keep no readable copy of your messages, your data lives with you, please keep your own encrypted backups.

7. Premium features and payments

Encrypted chat, voice, video, and groups are free. Some advanced features are premium. During the current beta, premium features are open to try and clearly labelled. If and when paid plans begin, you'll see the price and terms in-app and have the choice to opt in before anything is ever charged.

8. Ownership

The app, the AnA Devyra name and branding, and this website are owned by AnA Devyra. You keep ownership of the content you create, and since it's end-to-end encrypted, it stays yours in practice as well as on paper.

9. Changes and availability

As early-access software, parts of WingPost may change or be unavailable from time to time, and the server network may evolve across regions. We'll do our best to keep things stable, but we can't promise constant availability during this phase.

10. Ending things

You can stop using WingPost at any time and delete your account from inside the app. We may suspend or remove accounts that abuse the service, attack it, or break the acceptable-use rules above.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled under that jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
